Feed my Neighbor is a program of the Cathedral of the Assumption
On SATURDAY, JUNE 27, 2015, the Cathedral of the Assumption is hosting a very special event to help raise awareness and support for Louisville’s hungry and homeless.
This charity event is called - LET’S DANCE LOUISVILLE and is based on the hit TV show, DANCING WITH THE STARS, but on a local level. Twelve local “celebrities” will compete in a dance competition for your votes and support.
In addition to dancing, there will be live and silent auctions as well as culinary creations for all to enjoy.
Shall We Dance instructor, Brandon Thompson and Shannon Cogan, 2014 Judge's Award winner.
On behalf of our Feed My Neighbor Lunch Program, our ministry wants to thank you for supporting Let’s Dance Louisville. Thousands of our fellow citizens in need come to the Cathedral’s Sandefur Dining Hall seeking a hot meal and friendly fellowship throughout the year, and Let’s Dance Louisville benefits this charitable effort. Your time and interest in helping these neighbors in need through your presence and participation is a manifestation of the compassion our city models to the world.
Last year’s inaugural dance contest was a blast, and this year’s event promises to be even bigger and better. We have a wonderful roster of fabulous dancers who are all preparing very hard to wow us on June 27th! I look forward to visiting with you at this year’s festivities where in the midst of great dancing, wonderful auction items, and entertaining company we will ensure that the hungry of our compassionate city remain well fed in our care.
With prayerful best wishes,
- Very Rev. Jeffrey S. Nicolas
Pastor, Cathedral of the Assumption
Derby City Ballroom instructor, Jani Szukk and Charlotte Ipsan.
Thank you for your interest in Let’s Dance Louisville. Building off of last year’s tremendous sold-out success, I am very excited to be working with another set of twelve amazing community leaders and volunteers who together will create dance floor magic during a night of goodwill and glitz. Our dancing cast will devote many weeks to challenging rehearsals ensuring the greatest level of entertainment.
Let’s Dance Louisville is just one of many ways the Sandefur Dining Hall is working to create support and awareness for over 60,000 hungry and homeless guests we feed each year. You can help us by making your reservations and casting your votes. This night is a party with a purpose. It simply doesn’t get any better than that. See you on the dance floor!
